Terms
Terms of Use
Effective and last updated: October 5, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Next Mountain Ventures LLC ("we", "us") for using Stop Ask Go — the iPhone and iPad apps, the web app at stopaskgo.app, this website, and the Stop Ask Go connector for AI assistants (together, "the service"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.
1. Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to agree to these terms where you live.
- Give accurate sign-up details and keep your password safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- You can delete your account at any time from Account in the app.
2. Your content is yours
You own what you create — your Qlists, questions, answers, recordings, photos, videos and journal. You give us permission to store, process, sync and display it only as needed to run the service for you: for example, to keep it on your devices, to transcribe a recording you asked us to, or to show something you shared to the people you shared it with. What you publish to Explore goes further: anyone on the web can read it, as section 5 describes, under the license there. We do not use your content to train AI models and we do not sell it.
You are responsible for having the right to what you add. Do not upload other people's private information, or work you do not have permission to use.
3. Pro, the free trial and subscriptions
Plans. Stop Ask Go has a free plan and a paid plan, Pro. Pro is a monthly or a yearly subscription. What each plan includes is on our Pricing page. The price, and how often you will be charged, is shown before you buy. A subscription bought in one place is Pro everywhere you sign in; manage it where you bought it.
The free trial. New accounts get a free trial of Pro. We don't ask for a card, and nothing is charged when it ends: the account continues on the free plan unless you subscribe. If you subscribe during the trial, you are charged straight away and your first paid period starts that day; the days left in the trial are not added to it.
Automatic renewal. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each month or year, and you are charged for each new period, until you cancel. It renews at the same price unless we have told you about a change, as described below.
Bought on the web. On the web you buy Pro from us, Next Mountain Ventures LLC. You pay on a checkout run by RevenueCat, our subscription provider, and Stripe processes your payment for us. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method when you subscribe and at the start of each new period until you cancel. Keep your payment details up to date. We email you a receipt for each payment, and a reminder before a yearly subscription renews.
- To cancel, open Account in the web app and choose "Manage or cancel". That opens your subscription page, where you can cancel, change how you pay and see past payments. Each receipt we email you links to the same page. You can also write to support@stopaskgo.com and we will cancel it for you.
- Canceling stops the next renewal. Pro continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not charged again.
- If a renewal payment fails, Pro stops straight away and your account moves to the free plan, and we email you so you can update how you pay. We try the payment again for up to 30 days. If it goes through, Pro comes back, and your new period starts on the day it went through. If it hasn't gone through after 30 days, we stop trying.
Web purchases open later in the European Union and the United Kingdom than elsewhere: until then, people who live there can subscribe in the iPhone or iPad app, and the web app's upgrade page says whether web purchases are open where you are. What these terms say for the European Union and the United Kingdom applies to web subscriptions there once they open.
Bought in the iPhone or iPad app. You buy Pro from Apple, and payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel it in your Apple Account settings. Apple handles refunds under its own policies; we can't cancel or refund an App Store subscription for you.
Your 14 days to withdraw. You can withdraw from a web subscription within 14 days of starting it and get a full refund, without giving a reason. This applies to each web subscription you start, not only your first; renewals are not refunded. The 14 days begin the day after you subscribe and end at the end of the 14th day. If that day is a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday, they end at the end of the next working day.
- In the web app, open Account and choose "Withdraw from contract here". It is there for the whole 14 days. Check your name, the subscription and the email address for our confirmation, then choose "Confirm withdrawal".
- Or write to us at support@stopaskgo.com before the 14 days end, in your own words or with one of the forms below.
We email you to confirm we received your withdrawal, with what you sent us and when. We refund your payment in full, to the payment method you used, within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal. When we refund it, that subscription ends at once, and so does Pro, unless your free trial is still running. If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, these 14 days are also your legal right to withdraw from, or cancel, the contract.
Model withdrawal form
(complete and return this form only if you wish to withdraw from the contract)
- — To Next Mountain Ventures LLC, 5401 S Harvard Ave, Tulsa, OK 74135, United States, support@stopaskgo.com:
- — I/We (*) hereby give notice that I/We (*) withdraw from my/our (*) contract of sale of the following goods (*)/for the provision of the following service (*),
- — Ordered on (*)/received on (*),
- — Name of consumer(s),
- — Address of consumer(s),
- — Signature of consumer(s) (only if this form is notified on paper),
- — Date
(*) Delete as appropriate.
If you live in the United Kingdom: model cancellation form
- To Next Mountain Ventures LLC, 5401 S Harvard Ave, Tulsa, OK 74135, United States, support@stopaskgo.com:
- I/We [*] hereby give notice that I/We [*] cancel my/our [*] contract of sale of the following goods [*]/for the supply of the following service [*],
- Ordered on [*]/received on [*],
- Name of consumer(s),
- Address of consumer(s),
- Signature of consumer(s) (only if this form is notified on paper),
- Date
[*] Delete as appropriate.
Other refunds. Apart from your 14 days and a higher price, as described here, payments are not refundable, except where the law requires, and we don't refund or credit part of a period, including when you cancel.
Price changes. We may change the price of Pro. A new price applies to a web subscription you already have only from a renewal after we have emailed you about it, at least 7 days before, and you can cancel before it applies. If you are charged a renewal at a higher price, you can cancel within 14 days of that charge and get that renewal refunded in full: cancel from Account and write to support@stopaskgo.com. For an App Store subscription, Apple tells you about a price change and, where its rules require, asks you to agree to it first.
Taxes. If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, prices include VAT. Elsewhere, any sales tax is added and shown at checkout before you pay.
When Pro ends. When a trial or a subscription ends, your account continues on the free plan. Nothing you made is deleted. The features that come with Pro, such as Voice and sending forms, surveys and requests, stop, and your room for recordings, photos and videos goes back to the free plan's 2 GB. If you hold more than that, nothing is removed, but new recordings, photos and videos aren't stored in your account until you are under it: in the iPhone and iPad apps they wait on the device, and on the web they can't be added. Responses you have already received stay yours.
Deleting your account. Deleting your account cancels a web subscription first, so it is never charged again. Pro ends with the account, and the rest of the period you paid for is not refunded, except as described above. If we can't cancel the subscription, we stop, delete nothing, and tell you; you can try again, or write to us and we will cancel it. Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store subscription. Cancel it with Apple first.
If you downloaded the app from the App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Where it and these terms differ, these terms apply, to the extent Apple's terms allow.
4. Sharing, groups, Community and requests
- When you share with a connection or a group, the people you share with can see what you shared.
- When you share something by link, anyone who has the link can see it until you turn the link off.
- When you create a community post, it is seen, with your name, by the audience you post it to: Public means every signed-in member of Stop Ask Go, and My circle means your connections. A post to My circle stays with My circle. Anyone who can see a post sees every response to it, with the name of whoever responded, so a response you give is seen by that post's whole audience. Community posts and responses stay inside the app; they are not on the public web or in search engines.
- When you send someone a request, we email them a link on your behalf. Send requests only to people who would expect to hear from you — never bulk, unsolicited or marketing messages. Replies to your request are yours; treat them with the same care you would want for your own answers.
- Respect other people's privacy. Do not share someone else's answers outside the service without their permission.
5. Publishing to Explore
You can submit your own Qlists, questions and journeys to Explore. Once approved, they are public: anyone can read them on the web at stopaskgo.app without an account, and search engines can find them and show them in their results. Listings approved before October 3, 2026 become public on that date too; you can withdraw any you don't want public at any time. Members can add a copy to their own library, with its resources, which they can read but not edit.
On a published listing, anyone can see, with or without an account:
- its title, description and topic, and the tags and moments chosen for it;
- its author name: the credit line approved with the listing's current version if it has one, otherwise your display name as it is now;
- every question in it (for a journey, each step's name and questions), and how often it is meant to run;
- how many people have added it, and when it was approved;
- the title and first few lines of text of any resource attached to it or to its questions, and which kinds of thing its resources hold (text, photos, recordings or videos).
The rest of a resource, and any photos, recordings or videos in it, are seen only by our team, who review them, and by members who add the listing. Adding or running a listing needs an account. Your answers, and who added it, are never shown.
A change you make to your own copy, its resources included, doesn't reach the listing until you submit an update and we approve it; the published version stays up meanwhile. A change to your display name is not reviewed: it shows on your listings and your creator page within about 15 minutes. A change to a listing's credit line shows only once an update to the listing is approved. A listing featured on this website changes there when the site is next rebuilt. Resources attached to a listing are reviewed with it. When you submit, we make a copy of each photo, recording and video in them, so that what is shown is what we reviewed. Those copies are stored with the listing, not in your account; the Privacy Policy says how long we keep them. People who added a listing keep all of it, its resources included, as it was when they added it.
By publishing, you give us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, copy, format, excerpt, display and distribute what you published, with its author name, for as long as it is published: in the service, on the public web (this website included), and to search engines and link previews so they can index it and show it. After you withdraw it or delete your account, the license continues, in the service only, for the copies members already added, so that we can keep hosting them and showing them to those members.
You can withdraw a listing at any time. It leaves Explore and our sitemap, and its page says it is no longer on Explore. A cached copy can take up to about 15 minutes to clear, and a listing featured on this website leaves when the site is next rebuilt. Search engines and other sites may keep showing what they copied for a while longer; we tell them it is gone, but we don't control them. Copies other members already added stay in their libraries, with their photos, recordings and videos, even if you withdraw the listing or delete your account. Anyone can ask us to remove their personal data from those copies, for example a photo of themselves, by writing to support@stopaskgo.com; we will consider the request under applicable law.
Your creator page. You can also turn on a public page at stopaskgo.app/@yourhandle, in your profile or when you publish. It is off unless you turn it on. Creator pages are for people 18 or older: to turn yours on, you confirm that you are 18 or older, and we keep that confirmation with the time you gave it. It shows your display name, handle, bio and photo, and what you have published to Explore with how many people have added it. It never shows your answers, your community posts or responses, email, connections, groups or followers. While it is on, your listings show your handle and photo and link to it. Your photo is shown publicly only while your creator page is on, at an address that isn't linked to your account, and search engines are told not to index it, which keeps it out of image search. The license above covers your creator page for as long as it is on. Turning it off takes it down, in the same way as a withdrawn listing.
Your handle. Your handle is part of your creator page's address. For 90 days after you change it, nobody else can take the old one, and while your creator page is on, the old address sends people to the new one. When you delete your account, nobody can take your handle for 90 days, you included if you sign up again, and the same goes for an old handle still held from a change in the 90 days before. During those 90 days stopaskgo.app/@yourhandle leads nowhere: it says the page is no longer here if your creator page was ever on, and otherwise that the page was not found. After 90 days someone else may take it.
Listings that the Stop Ask Go team publishes from its own account are marked official and credited to Stop Ask Go.
We review submissions and may decline or remove any listing, and take down any creator page. A creator page we take down stays down until we restore it; you can't switch it back on from your profile.
6. What is not allowed
We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You may not use the service to post, send or share anything that:
- harasses, threatens, bullies or intimidates anyone;
- is hateful or discriminatory toward people based on who they are;
- is sexually explicit, or sexualizes minors in any way;
- promotes violence, self-harm or illegal activity;
- is spam, a scam, or impersonates someone else;
- infringes someone's intellectual property or privacy.
You also may not attempt to access other people's accounts or data, interfere with or overload the service, or scrape it. Search engines may index our public pages within the rules our robots.txt sets; that is not permission for anyone to copy them in bulk for another use. You can report content or people from inside the app. Without an account, report a public page by writing to support@stopaskgo.com. We review reports promptly, remove content that breaks these rules, and suspend or close accounts that break them.
These rules apply to everything you add, including content only you can see. Sexually explicit material, content that sexualizes minors, and illegal content are not allowed anywhere in the service, private storage included. We may use automated tools to detect prohibited content in what you upload, may review what they flag, and may remove it and act on your account. We report apparent child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and other authorities, as the law requires, and we may disclose your information and content, private content included, in response to valid legal process or to protect people's safety, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Our Community Guidelines are part of these terms. They set out in more detail what is expected in shared spaces, how we moderate, what we may do when the rules are broken — including removing content, closing groups, and suspending or closing accounts — and how to appeal.
7. AI assistants you connect
If you connect Stop Ask Go to an AI assistant, you authorize that assistant to read and add to your own things on your behalf, within the permissions shown when you approve it. Where sending is turned on for your account, it can also send or share your Qlists, forms and surveys with people you name, after you confirm; you are responsible for those messages as if you had sent them yourself, and section 4 applies to them. It cannot delete anything. The assistant is a third-party service with its own terms; we are not responsible for what it says or does with what you share with it. You can disconnect it at any time in Settings › Connected apps; its access stops within the hour.
8. Not professional advice
Stop Ask Go helps you reflect and keep track of what you decide. It is not therapy, medical, legal or financial advice, and it is not a crisis service. If you are in danger or crisis, contact local emergency services.
9. Changes, suspension and ending
- We may change or discontinue features for good reason, such as improving the service, security, legal requirements or a change at a provider we rely on. We will give reasonable notice of a change that significantly affects a paid feature.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk.
- You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time.
- If we update these terms, we will change the date above. When a change is significant, the app asks you to agree to the new terms the next time you use it. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
10. Disclaimers and limits of liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We work hard to keep it running and your content safe, but we cannot promise it will always be available, error-free or that content will never be lost; keep your own copies of anything irreplaceable. Transcripts are made automatically and may contain mistakes.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or US $50. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Oklahoma, except where the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim locally. If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in its courts.
